Student Group Farmstays
A student group farmstay provided by Rural Tourism forms
the highlight of many student tours to New Zealand. Their
farmstay provides an experience that is not only educational,
but fun as well. For many students, it is their first time
to experience such a rural environment, and therefore creates
a memory that lasts a lifetime.
For non-English native speakers, staying in groups of four
students is ideal. Students are able to communicate much
easier and enjoy their experience with their host family
much more when they are with their peers.
We recommend a minimum of a two night farmstay for all
student tours into New Zealand. Rural Tourism has catered
for student tours of up to 500 people at one time, and regularly
handles groups of 200-300 students in the Waikato region
in the North Island.
